It was understood that the Guidong civil air defense propaganda and education exhibition hall is the first exhibition hall was established on the guiding principle of "Civil air defense is a national event, a national strategy and a long-term strategy" put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and the working policy of "Long-term readiness, construction of key projects and combination of peacetime footing with wartime footing".

The exhibition hall, located in Shuiwan Village, Guidong County, covering an area of 160 square meters, is divided into 10 parts of the preface, cordial care, basic knowledge of civil air defense, development course of civil air defense, civil air defense professional team, air raid warning, sand table, civil air defense achievements, chemical prevention items and concluding remarks, which shows the course of civil air defense construction in the past 60 years by means of picture text, video image, simulation experience, weapon model and so on, carries out national defense (civil air defense) propaganda and education for the broad masses of the people intuitively and systematically, and spreads air defense and disaster prevention knowledge and skills to the public to enhance the broad masses' national defense concept and awareness of air defense and disaster prevention.

Guidong County attached great importance to civil air defense work, actively strengthened administrative law enforcement efforts, fully promoted civil air defense project construction, and constantly innovated and developed the civil air defense propaganda work to really let the people realize the importance and necessity of civil air defense work, and promote the civil air defense work to continue to develop in a good social environment and atmosphere. Since 2017, Guidong County has built more than 3, 000 square meters of civil air defense projects, and carried out more than 20 publicity activities through civil air defense knowledge into the campus, network, media, enterprises and community and other forms. The county-level air defense evacuation base has been completed and gradually improved the various functional facilities.
