According to the "Circular of the Ministry of Education on the results of the acceptance of the first batch of Educational Informatization pilot projects" (No77, Teaching letter in 2017), Chenzhou Municipal Education Bureau was recognized as the first batch of excellent educational informatization pilot units, which was the only city to receive this award in Hunan Province.

It was reported that since the Ministry of Education launched the pilot project of educational informatization in early 2012, Chenzhou Municipal Education Bureau, as the first comprehensive pilot unit of the Ministry of Education, insisted on carrying out all kinds of work creatively and comprehensively with the main content of "relying on education informatization to promote regional education fairness", effectively guided and standardized all kinds of local educational informatization practice activities, promoted the overall implementation of educational informatization, reduced the educational informatization differences between urban and rural areas and regions, to promote the improvement of the overall level of urban and rural education informatization in the region, and promote the balanced development of education.
