"Winter of Science and Technology" in Linwu County

Recently, the county agricultural service center cadres and more than 20 potato growers in the Beixi village, Linwu County gathered together to give science and technology lessons on the storage of taro in winter, off-season listing, building brand of Shunxi taro, etc., which was a scene of Linwu County to carry out the popularizing science activities of "Winter of Science and Technology ".

 

In recent years, Linwu County strengthened the drive of scientific and technological innovation, led the development of modern agriculture, and improved the extension and service level of agricultural science and technology. The county made full use of the winter fallow season and the opportunity of peasants to return home for the Spring Festival, and organized the agriculture, agricultural machinery, science and technology, animal husbandry and other related departments to carry out the activities of popularizing scientific knowledge in the countryside to send agricultural science and technology knowledge to the rural people, and teach the poor villagers the wisdom of getting rid of poverty and becoming rich.

 

The county selected highly skilled and experienced agricultural technicians, local talents and volunteers from the agriculture, animal husbandry, science and technology, agricultural and other departments to carry out the agricultural technology training, extension of new technologies, display of scientific and technological innovation achievements, innovation and entrepreneurship, and propaganda on policy of targeted poverty alleviation and other scientific popularization activities in the villages, providing the guidance in the production of agricultural technology to farmers. The cadres of Municipal Animal Husbandry and Aquatic Products Bureau went deep into the Zhennan, Maishi, Jinjiang and other places to set up "pasture classroom", so that the farmers could master the scientific and technological knowledge of animal husbandry in winter.

 

It was reported that Linwu County has operated more than 80 training courses of various agricultural technology to more than 15,000 villagers, and issued 25,000 copies of agricultural data since the beginning of winter.
