"We plan to take 5 years to build Shuidong Town in Linwu County into a small town of calcium carbonate industry and a special tourism town, and build a production and processing base for calcium carbonate in Hunan and even in the central and southern region." Recently, Huang Xiange, General Manager of Hunan Gos Group Calcium Carbonate Industry Development Co., Ltd. said at the calcium carbonate industry forum in Linwu County.

According to the detailed investigation report of calcium carbonate resources in Linwu County, the reserves of calcium carbonate resources in Linwu County are large and the quality is excellent. The total reserve of marble is more than 1 billion tons, in which the coarse calcite marble ore of about 200 million tons, the calcium oxide content of 55%, the calcium carbonate content of over 97%, the PH value of 9.1, the volatile content at 105 ℃ of 0.05%, the hydrochloric acid insoluble content of 0.07%, the whiteness greater than 81 and the iron and manganese in minute quantities, which are the ideal raw materials for processing nanometer calcium carbonate.

In recent years, Linwu County, taking the development of calcium carbonate industry as one of the "six billion industries", has established the calcium carbonate industry development command in Linwu County, set up the calcium carbonate industry office, issued the "Five-year Action Plan for the Development of Calcium Carbonate Industry in Linwu County", and organized to investigate the development of calcium carbonate industry in Hezhou of Guangxi Province, Lianzhou, Zhaoqing and Jiangmen of Guangdong Province and other places.

After field investigation, Linwu County initially designated the Calcium Carbonate Industrial Park in Shuidong Town in February 2017, covering an area of about 4 square kilometers. In September, the county government signed the "Hunan Chenzhou Calcium Carbonate Industrial Investment Cooperation Agreement" with Shenzhen Gos Group Venture Investment Co., Ltd, planning to invest 5 billion yuan in five years to build one park and three districts(one park: Calcium Carbonate Industrial Park, three districts: Resource mining area, Deep processing zone, Related industrial district). After completion, the industrial park will realize the annual output value of 10 billion yuan, annual tax profit of 1 billion yuan and employment of more than 5000 people.

At present, the overall plan, the whole aerial photograph, the park survey, the geotechnical engineering survey of 2.8 square kilometers in the first phase and other work of Linwu calcium carbonate industrial park have been completed.
