Recently, the book "Watching Gui Yang", which reflects the history and humanities of Guiyang County, was published by Hunan People's Publishing House.

The book "Watching Guiyang" briefly classifies Guiyang's more than 2,000-year history of figures, events, monuments, landscapes, etc., into five chapters of "ancient files, finding Gui Yang, returning to the scene, elegant county sages and landscape chapters", combining the knowledge of history and culture with the interest of the legendary stories.

The book contains 121 manuscripts, more than 360,000 words, and inserts more than 100 pictures, a comprehensive introduction to the history and culture of Guiyang County. The participating authors are elite in studying local culture.

The book uses the dynamic style of modern prose, pursues the fresh and delicate style of writing, and tries to break through the formal description style of professional history researchers, which is both grand and detailed. The book also shows a true Guiyang County, which lets the readers' thoughts traverse the tunnel of the times and the solemn track of history, and lets the readers clearly see the historical background of the millennium ancient county.

The whole book has clear thread, reasonable structure and rich picture and text with popular language and unified history and logic, and shows the historical evolution, local customs, scenic spots, famous historical persons and major events in Guiyang in the way of scene to give the readers the sense of reality.
