It was learned from Hunan Provincial Forestry Department recently that the Swan Mountain National Forest Farm and Chukou National Forest Farm in Zixing City were rated as "the province's beautiful forest farms".

Swan Mountain National Forest Farm

The Swan Mountain National Forest Farm has good vegetation, pleasant climate and abundant rainfall. It is evergreen and deciduous broadleaved mixed forest above 800 meters above sea level, and subtropical evergreen broadleaved forest and coniferous forest below 800 meters above sea level. In the forest farm, there are rare silver fir plant communities and the national key protected trees, such as magnolia oryzae, manglietia insignis, tapiscia sinensis, yew and so on. At the same time, there are some rare animals, such as stump-tailed macaque, pangolin and so on, which are of great value for tourism development.

In June last year, the 2nd Swan Mountain Forest Camping Conference was successfully held, attracting more than 6000 tourists to enjoy the gesang flower sea and a good time. The Swan Mountain forest healthy has become the new name card of ecotourism in Zixing City.

Chukou National Forest Farm

Chukou Forest Farm is a natural botanical garden with abundant vegetation and diverse species. The main landscape include the "First pine in South China", "Lotus pond", "ecological orchard", "dry pond Tiankeng", "fishing port lights" and so on. The native vegetation is mostly the natural coniferous broad-leaved secondary mixed forest and the cultivated trees are mainly Chinese fir, Masson pine, Schima superb, citrus, tea - oil tree, Ginkgo, etc. There are many species of wild animals in the forest.

In recent years, on the basis of persisting in protecting forest resources and maintaining ecological security, Zixing City has fully started and implemented the construction of beautiful forest farm as the main work of consolidating the effect of forest farm reform, improving the management level of forest farm, strengthening forest resources and promoting forest tourism brand. The forest farms have actively changed their functions from "former tree-choppers" into "present tree-huggers", implemented the forest cultivation projects, stopped commercial logging and accurately improved the forest quality to achieve the sustained growth of forestland area, forest coverage and forest volume.

At the same time, based on the forest ecological landscape, natural landscape and humanistic landscape, Zixing City has integrated and packaged existing forest tourism resources, vigorously developed forest healthy, ecological recreation, adventure and other forest tourist sites, actively built the forest ecology, old-age care, leisure, tourism and culture in one to highlight the original, ecological and natural forest tourism brand.
