Recently, Chenzhou Water Conservancy Bureau announced the results of the 6 major water conservancy work assessment in 2017, including the water conservancy construction, flood control and drought relief, water conservancy safety production, comprehensive implementation of river chief system, water resources management and rural drinking water safety. The 6 water conservancy work of Zixing City ranked the top 6 and was commended by Chenzhou Water Conservancy Bureau, in which the flood control and drought relief, water conservancy safety production and water resources management ranked the first, and the water conservancy construction, comprehensive implementation of river chief system and rural drinking water safety ranked the second, fifth and sixth respectively.

In 2017, under the guidance of superior departments and the support of the municipal party committee and municipal government, Zixing Municipal Water Conservancy Bureau closely focused on the construction objectives of "five Zixing" and promoted the coordinated development of urban and rural water conservancy with remarkable achievements in water conservancy work in the whole city. New breakthroughs have been achieved in the water conservancy project work, new achievements have been made in the flood prevention and drought relief, new progress has been made in the construction of key water conservancy projects, new bright spots have emerged in the river chief system implementation, a new situation has been created for the water conservancy industry supervision, and a new image has been showed in the water conservancy team construction.

In 2018, the water conservancy work in Zixing City will be guided by the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress, focus on "consolidating rural water conservancy, strengthening urban water conservancy, paying attention to ecological water conservancy and stressing water conservancy management", continuously improve the water environment, protect water ecology, ensure water safety and develop water economy to provide solid water conservancy support and guarantee for carrying out rural rejuvenation strategy and construction of "five Zixing".
