On the morning of March 9th, the press conference of the second Mount Mang Mountain Bike Race in 2018 was held in Yizhang County. At present, the competition is in the stage of registration. On April 28th, the contestants from all over the country will compete in the Mount Mang National Forest Park in Yizhang County.

The event is sponsored by the Yizhang Government and Chenzhou Municipal Media Group, co-organized by Mount Mang Forest Management Bureau, Yizhang County Federation of Trade Unions, and Chenzhou Bicycle Association, undertaken by Yizhang County Media Group and Yizhang County Fitness Service Center, and executed by Hunan Jibang Sports Cultural Development Co., Ltd. The competition with the theme of "Red Yizhang, Beautiful Mount Mang”, will be divided into 5 groups of male elite, male adult, female, local male and local female.

At present, the competition is in the stage of registration. As of April 10th, people aged between 18 and 55 will be allowed to enter the competition. The starting track is the gate of the Mount Mang National Forest Park, and the end track is located at the parking lot of Tiantai Mountain Scenic Spot, with the climbing slope at a height of nearly 1000 meters and the race distance of 15 kilometers. The track has beautiful scenery along the way and people can fully appreciate the natural scenery and Yao culture, which is expected to become one of the most beautiful tracks in the national bike race.

Located in the southernmost part of Hunan Province, Mount Mang National Forest Park is a national 4A class scenic spot with a total area of 198.33 square kilometers. It has the largest and best preserved evergreen broad-leaved forest and abundant animal and plant resources at the same latitude, enjoying the titles of the "Green pearl at the same latitude of the earth" and "Gene bank of animals and plants". It is a tourist destination with an excellent ecological environment with the forest cover of 99.01%, the negative oxygen ion content in air up to 106900 per cubic centimeter, the annual average temperature of 17.2℃, the summer average temperature of about 22 ℃, and the annual relative humidity of about 80%.

According to Zhong Yuming, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission of the Mount Mang Forest Management Bureau, the construction of the Mount Mang Reservoir Project, which started in 2015, is nearing the end and is expected that the dam construction will be completed in September this year and fully completed and put into operation in 2019. By that time, it will enrich the tourism resources of the mountain and promote the development of water park, drifting, lodging, hydropower project and other related projects. At the same time, the new scenic spot built by Zhongjingxin Tourism Investment Group Co., Ltd. is also under intensive construction, including hanging trestle, ropeway and other characteristic scenic spots, which are expected to be completed by 2019.
