Recently, the author learned from the Linwu Bureau of Economic, Scientific and Technological Commerce that Hunan Intellectual Property Office issued a recognition notice that Linwu County was awarded the "Hunan intellectual property work advanced county in 2017" again. So far, Linwu County has won this honor for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017.

In 2017, the county continuously improved the level of creation, application, protection and management of intellectual property rights, and achieved gratifying achievements by promoting the construction of the intellectual property rights strong county as the target. First, the county guided the Shunxiang Cattle Industry, Southern Mining Industry, Shunhua Duck Industry and other 5 enterprises to establish the industry-university-research cooperative relationship with Hunan Agricultural University, Guangzhou Nonferrous Metals Research Institute and other scientific research institutes, and assisted the "Study on the combination of nitrogen-filled packaging and counter-pressure sterilization technology and the application in the processing of traditional meat products" of Shunhua Duck Industry to pass the provincial evaluation of scientific and technological achievements. Second, the county strived for the national, provincial and municipal projects, including 1 national creative project, 2 provincial projects and 4 municipal projects. Third, the county guided Shunxiang Cattle Industry and Dongjia Electronics to be identified as the national high-tech enterprises.

The county completed 180 patent applications in 2017, an increase of 87.5 %, including 41 applications for invention patents, an increase of 57.68%; 33 counterfeit patent cases and 1 infringement case were investigated and dealt with.
