On April 12, Hou Zhihui, an athlete from Guiyang County, won the champion in the snatch, the second place in the clean and jerk and the gold medal on total results with the snatch of 94 kg, the clean and jerk of 111 kg and total score of 205 kg on behalf of Hunan team in the women's 48kg class completion at the "Jianglang Mountain" Cup National Women's Weightlifting Championships in 2018 held in Jiangshan City, Zhejiang Province.

13 contestants participated in the 48 kg class competition, including Xiao Huiying and Hou Zhihui from Hunan Province, Jiang Huihua and Zhao Jinhong from Jiangxi Province, and Zhang Rong from Fujian Province.

In the fierce competition, Hou Zhihui, the champion of Tianjin National Games and Hunan athlete was shocked by Fujian's Zhang Rong. In the snatch competition, Hou Zhihui successfully lifted the 88kg, 92kg and 94 kg and won the gold medal in the snatch. Zhang Rong succeeded in lifting 90kg, but failed in 93kg. In the clean and jerk competition, Hou Zhihui succeeded in lifting 107kg and 111kg, but failed in the 113kg. Zhang Rong succeeded in lifting 108 kg and then 112 kg with two opportunities to win the gold medal in the clean and jerk. Finally, Hou Zhihui and Zhang Rong won the championship and second place respectively. Jiang Huihua, the champion of the Youth Olympic Games and Guangxi athlete, won the third place with a total of 197kg.
