On April 24, Cao Weiwei, Vice Cairman of the Provincial Women's Federation, led a investigation group and carried out investigation on the diversification of marriage and family disputes and provincial legislation against domestic violence in Chenzhou City.
At the forum, the investigation group listened to Chenzhou's report on the implementation of the Anti-domestic Violence Law of the PRC. In 2013, Chenzhou City set up a work leading group to prevent and stop the domestic violence, set up the major case report and supervision system, and coordinated and handled 5 typical cases of domestic violence, and more than 40 other related cases. The leading groups of women and children in 11 counties (cities and districts) of Chenzhou coordinated and handled more than 90 cases of domestic violence. Subsequently, the participants focused on the implementation of regulations (draft) of the "Anti-domestic Violence Law of the PRC" in Hunan Province and put forward the opinions and suggestions on the importance and necessity of the local legislation against domestic violence, legislative basis, the subject of law enforcement, and the special requirements of collecting evidence in the case of domestic violence.
The investigation group also came to the People's Mediation Committee for marriage and family disputes in the Beihu District and Suxian District to understand in detail the characteristics of marriage and family dispute mediation in Chenzhou City by listening to reports, checking data, and visiting the masses. It was understood that 11 counties (cities and districts) in Chenzhou have all set up marriage and family dispute mediation committees, of which two provincial marriage mediation committees and three municipal marriage mediation committees.
