On the morning of May 5th, the world's most complete dinosaur mummy fossils arrived in Chenzhou and will be displayed at the 6th CMGS for the first time.
Each CMGS has a "treasure" and the treasure of the 6th CMGS, which has attracted much attention this year, is the dinosaur mummy fossils found in Montana, USA. The dinosaur mummy fossil is a Prosaurolophus fossil, belonging to the family Hadrosauridae, formed in the late Cretaceous, about 76 million years ago, about 12 meters long, 3.5 meters wide and 1.8 meters high. About 70% of the dinosaur's skin was preserved, which is the largest and most complete dinosaur mummy discovered in the world, an extremely rare natural miracle and called "priceless treasure."
"According to the American Museum of Nature History, the dinosaur died in a swamp of a primeval forest with a lot of sulphide, and when it fell, it was covered with sulphide and isolated from the air, becoming a mummy. Compared with dinosaur fossils, the most valuable thing about dinosaur mummies was that the skin of dinosaurs was preserved. In order to satisfy the curiosity of the audience, a special imitation of the skin of the dinosaur has been made so that the audience could have "close contact" with it during the exhibition of the dinosaur mummies." Zheng Jianrong, General Manager of Chenzhou International Mineral Gem Expo co., Ltd said.
According to Zheng Jianrong, it took more than a year from the excavation to repair, and traveling from the United States to Chenzhou City and the transportation process was difficult. He believed that everyone would be very shocked when this treasure was on display.
