The May 18 is the 42nd International Museum Day. On May 15, Chenzhou Museum jointly organized the No.28 Primary School to conduct the Cultural Heritage Lecture into Campus activities with the theme of "Super connected museum: new methods and new public" of this year's Museum Day.
At the scene of the event, the city museum set up the display boards, such as revolutionary sites, the Xiangnan Uprising Sites, the Long March Site, the Former Residence of Founding Generals, and so on, and then the volunteers explained the red stories, combining the socialist core values with the excellent traditional Chinese culture to carry on the ideological education to the minors.
In addition, the city museum staff also showed the students some precious cultural relics unearthed in Chenzhou City through video presentation, and used the method of award-winning questions and answers to pass on knowledge of cultural relics to students, which promoted minors' understanding of Chenzhou's history and culture, and aroused students' enthusiasm for learning traditional culture.
Hu Renliang, Deputy Curator of Chenzhou Museum, said that the Cultural Heritage Lecture into Campus activities aimed to let the students fully understand the history and culture of Chenzhou, inherit the revolutionary spirit, and shape the successors of the new era. Liu Sijia, a sixth grade student, told reporters that she hoped to hold more such activities in the future, which would not only expand extracurricular knowledge, but also enrich campus life.
