Culture is the root and soul of a country and a nation. Cultural landmarks are the visible symbols and unique imprints of the soul. Recently, the second batch of candidates for the 2017 "Top 10 cultural landmarks selection activities in Hunan", sponsored by Hunan Cultural Department and Office of Provincial Cyberspace Affairs Commission, and undertook by Red Net New Media Group, were officially announced and Guiyang County Cultural Park in our city was shortlisted.

It was reported that the "Top 10 cultural landmarks selection activities in Hunan" has been vigorously cooperated by the administrative departments of cultural relics at all levels and actively participated by the vast number of cultural landmarks units since the launch on 12 January this year, receiving extensive attention from all walks of life in the society. Within 15 days of the opening of the online voting, 50 candidate landmarks had accumulated more than 8.3 million votes, with an average of 560,000 votes per day. The selection activities have set off an upsurge of attention, sightseeing, publicity and promotion of cultural landmarks in the whole province, which has effectively promoted the popularity, influence and dissemination of Hunan cultural landmarks.

After the selection, an award ceremony will be held to officially announce the results. Subsequently, the organization will continue to publicize the appraised cultural landmarks, develop the cultural connotations of the cultural landmarks, further strengthen the cultural self-confidence of the people in the whole province, and promote the construction of a strong cultural province.
