On May 25th, our city held the launching ceremony of the theme education activities of "inheriting the red gene, striving for new generations". Jiang Bo, Municipal Standing Committee and Director of the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, awarded the "Chenzhou Youth Party History and National History Education Base" plaque to the Xiangnan Uprising Memorial Hall.

The activities were divided into "three major talks" and "six major activities". The "three major talks" referred to tell the red story of our province and our city to the young people of the whole city; referred to tell the vertical comparison before and after reform and opening up and before and after the 18th National Congress, and the horizontal comparison of the world's historical development; referred to tell the earnest expectation that General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward to young people. The "six major activities" included reading a number of red books, conducting a television speech contest on "telling red story, being new to the times", holding a singing contest with the theme of "red genes, generations passed on", and launching the red movie and TV month, holding the painting and calligraphy exhibition, organizing red tourism, etc.

Jiang Bo pointed out that it is necessary to raise the political position, grasp the correct direction, and educate young people with great struggles, great projects, great undertakings and great dreams under the guidance of the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jinping; innovate the way of activities and enrich the contents of activities; strengthen organizational leadership, ensure the activity effectiveness and promote young people to conscientiously study red history.
