On June 12th, the 2018 "World Blood Donor Day" celebration and the free blood donation activity of municipal medical and health family planning units were held in Chenzhou First People's Hospital.

It was understood that the theme of this year's World Blood Donor Day is "Think of others, donate blood and share life". The publicity panels of free blood donation knowledge and the publicity booths were set up at the activity scene, and the staff of the municipal medical and health family planning units were queuing up for blood donation in front of the free blood donation car. Some unpaid blood donor representatives were also invited to call on the masses to actively participate in the free blood donation with their own actual action.

Deputy Mayor He Jianxiang took part in the activities and pointed out that the noble sentiment and kindness of unpaid blood donors should be respected and praised highly by the society. Some of unpaid blood donors were invited to the celebration in the hope that they would encourage and educate more people to treat free blood donation in a scientific manner, thus building a long-term, stable unpaid blood donation team. We should take the "World Blood Donor Day" as an opportunity to carry out extensive publicity activities, especially in the community, rural areas, colleges and universities, and further strengthen the sense of mission and responsibility of the whole society to donate blood and save people.
