On June 26, the 2018 Chenzhou Tourism Hotel Service Skills Competition was launched. 82 players from 17 tourist hotels in the city competed with each other in service skills.

The competition was divided into room service (Chinese style bed making), restaurant service (Chinese banquet table), restaurant service (western banquet table), front room service (baggage reception service), security service (vehicle command and fire control) and bartender service (cocktail modulation). The two referees rated the contestants according to their appearance, site operation, etc.

The Municipal Tourism and Foreign Affairs Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau launched a campaign to improve the quality of tourism services throughout the city this year. Next, there will be a "Top 10 Tourist Reception Demonstration Hotels", "Top 10 Tourism Reception Demonstration Scenic Spots", "Top 10 Tourism Reception Demonstration Travel Agencies" and other evaluation activities.
