Recently, an appraisal meeting on the Bamianshan General Airport Site Appraisal Report in Guidong County was held. The Civil Aviation Central South Administration expert group, and relevant personnel of the design unit participated in the meeting. Chairman Li Yejun and Deputy Director Zhang Lijuan of the Guidong County People's Congress Standing Committee, Liu Guoqing, Deputy County Chief of Guidong County Government and the relevant departments participated in the appraisal meeting.

During the meeting, the county leaders, expert group and the design unit members went to the pre-selection site in the Kanda Village of Oujiang Town to conduct a site survey, and inspect the clearance protection, meteorological conditions, construction planning, topography, surrounding obstacles and other distribution.

At the appraisal meeting, the expert group members and Civil Aviation Central South Administration leaders listened to the introduction and report of the design unit on the site selection of Bamianshan General Airport, respectively made some comments on the airport site selection, climate and meteorology, technology implementation, clearance protection and other aspects, and put forward some advice and suggestions, including an indication that a written review opinion will be issued as soon as possible after the amendment has been completed.

At the meeting, Liu Guoqing, on behalf of the county party committee and county government expressed heartfelt thanks to the leaders and experts attending the meeting for their hard work and ardent care for the Bamianshan General Airport construction in recent days. He pointed out that the construction of the Guidong General Airport is a major project to break through the bottleneck constraints of development in Guidong County, deal with emergency rescue, speed up economic transformation and development, promote industrial upgrading and promote social progress, and is a livelihood project to benefit the people of the whole county, and is of great and far-reaching significance to consolidate the achievements of overcoming poverty in Guidong County, build a well-off society in an all-round way, and promote the development of a higher quality of economy and society in Guidong.

Li Yejun said that Guidong County will fully absorb the valuable opinions and suggestions put forward by the leaders and experts at this appraisal meeting, and concentrate the efforts to seriously revise, plan scientifically, perfect and implement airport site selection plan and improve airport site selection report with the design unit and other departments in accordance with the opinions and suggestions in the shortest time; will actively do a good job in the protection of airport site selection, financing and other supporting construction work, effectively strengthen communication with the civil aviation, appraisal expert group and other relevant units, and make every effort to speed up the preparatory work of airport construction to obtain early approval for Bamianshan General Airport site project.
