Recently, the Tangdong Streets of Zixing City united with the law enforcement personnel of the Municipal Land and Resources Bureau, Municipal Ministry of Agriculture and other departments, and set up a special rectification working group to carry out special action for the basic farmland protection and strictly investigate the turf planting on basic farmland and the abandonment of cultivated land in villages.

The aim of this rectification action was to investigate and deal with illegal activities according to law, such as planting turf on basic farmland, desertion of cultivated land and destruction of basic farmland, by taking the time limit for rectification, stopping the cultivated land protection subsidy, terminating the contracts, fines and other punishment measures to effectively protect the safety of basic farmland. At the same time, they carried out publicity on the laws and regulations for the protection of basic farmland, and firmly established the sense of responsibility and participation of the broad masses for the protection of basic farmland.

In order to ensure the actual effect of the special rectification action, Tangdong Street in Zixing City formulated a concrete action plan and set up a leading group for special rectification work, including four stages of the publicity and launching, investigation and mapping, self-examination and self-correction, and handling according to law.

Up to now, the special rectification has been completed the work of propaganda, launching and investigating and mapping. During the period, 100 copies of "Notice on Prohibition of Planting Turf on Basic Farmland and Abandoning of Farmland", and more than 1500 copies of the "Propaganda Manual" were distributed to the masses, which laid a solid foundation for carrying out self-examination and self-correction in the next stage.
