On July 18, the analysis meeting of Chenzhou's first half economic situation in 2018 was held. At the meeting, Chenzhou Bureau of Statistics reported on the first half economic operation of Chenzhou in 2018. In the first half of the year, Chenzhou's economy was stable, steady and progressive. The GDP of Chenzhou was 109.28 billion yuan, an increase of 8.5%, the growth rate of 8.5%, 0.6% higher than the level of the whole province, ranking second in the province. Among them, the primary, secondary and tertiary industries increased by 3.1%, 6.9% and 11.2% respectively.

According to Chenzhou Bureau of Statistics, the first half economic operation of Chenzhou had the following four characteristics.

First, the economic operation was stable, a steady increase in growth. The agricultural growth grew steadily, industrial production warmed up and the service industry developed. From January to May in Chenzhou City, the revenue of the service enterprises above the scale hit 9.27 billion yuan, an increase of 28.9%, the growth rate of 8.6%. The tourism market continued to be active as a result of the in-depth promotion of global tourism. The whole city received 33.479 million tourists, bringing in 28.85 billion yuan of domestic tourism income, an increase of 12.1% and 13.3% respectively. The boutique homestay in Zixing, Guidong and other places developed rapidly.

Second, the structural optimization and upgrading. The three-time industrial structure ratio was 8.5:43.5:48, in which the proportion of tertiary industry increased by 3.6% over the same period last year, 57.5% increase in economic contribution to the city.

Third, the continuous condensation of kinetic energy. By the end of June, there had been 217,600 households in all kinds of markets, an increase of 13.8%, and 14152 new entrepreneurs had been added, driving the employment of 30131 people in urban and rural areas. From January to June, the total import and export volume of Chenzhou reached $2.2 billion yuan, ranking second in the whole province, an increase of 45.2%, of which the export volume increased by 36.5% and the import volume increased by 56.4%.

Fourth, the continuous improvement of quality. Under the action of government decentralization, tax reduction and fee reduction, the comprehensive cost continued to fall, and the profits of enterprises continued to rise. From January to May, the total industrial profits over the scale hit 4.98 billion yuan, an increase of 8.0%. The industrial structure, fiscal structure, energy consumption structure and other economic structures continued to optimize, with steady financial operation, continuous improvement of people's livelihood, and steady and positive employment situation.
