On the morning of July 24th, Liu Zhiren, Deputy Secretary of the Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, came to Zixing City to investigate the progress of Dongjiang water diversion project. Luo Chenghui, Deputy Secretary of the Zixing Municipal Party Committee and Mayor accompanied the investigation.

Liu Zhiren went to Dongjiang diversion project Xiaodongjiang cofferdam, water intake, water purification plant and other projects to understand the project construction in details.

The Dongjiang water diversion project,including the water intake project, the Dongjiang water works project, the water conveyance system project and so on, is the "No.1 project" of Chenzhou City. The project will dig tunnels from the Dongjiang Lake Reservoir area and direct to the Dongjiang Lake, and the purified water will be transported to Chenzhou City and Zixing City by gravity direct current method to solve the development demand of water use in medium and long-term cities in the city.

Liu Zhiren pointed out that the Dongjiang water diversion project is a major event of concern to the broad masses of the people. We should unify the thinking, raise the understanding, and further grasp the progress of construction on the basis of ensuring the construction quality. The owners and units should take the initiative to do a good job of coordinated service work, strengthen the sense of responsibility, and fix the mountain exposed and other ecological problems during construction in time.

Liu Zhiren stressed that Zixing City has sustained high temperature and hot weather in recent days and workers should take protective measures to do outdoor work, implemente the shift and rest system, and ensure the safety of construction while ensuring the quality and progress of the project.
