The official of Chenzhou Fengyue Environmental Protection Company revealed that the company and the Chenzhou Guoda Nonferrous Metals smelting Co., Ltd. have cooperated to invest in the construction of a metal material industry park in Cambodia, which is the first foreign nonferrous metal industrial park project in our province, with total investment of more than 1.7 billion yuan. The company has completed the "going out" approval and filing and has obtained the license certificate. It was reported that Chenzhou's export-oriented enterprises have continued to "go out" at a fast pace, and Gospell, Chenzhou Fugui Yuantong and others have been approved to invest overseas one after another since this year. In the first half of the year, the city's newly approved enterprises have invested $280 million abroad, an increase of 85.2%.
In order to develop export-oriented economy, Chenzhou has paid attention to both inside and outside in recent years. On the one hand, the introduced foreign enterprises have invested in Chenzhou and the actual use of foreign capital has been in the forefront of the province for many years; on the other hand, the county has seized the opportunity of "Belt and Road" initiative, and guided domestic enterprises to "go out" to seize international business opportunities. At present, 460 export-oriented enterprises are registered in the city, of which 54 foreign-invested enterprises and 406 domestic enterprises of "going out".
Because of the complected and changeable international economic environment, the exports have slowed in recent years. But Chenzhou City has boosted the enterprises to "go out" through guiding and accurate policies. For example, Chenzhou has improved the function construction of Comprehensive Bonded Zone, highway ports, iron-sea combined transport, customs, and other open platforms to comprehensively upgrade the level of export-oriented economic services through the "Export-oriented Economic Services Year" and other activities; has introduced policies and measures in a timely manner to support the development of export-oriented enterprises.
It was understood that in the first half of this year, driven by the development of many export-oriented enterprises in Chenzhou, the city realized a total import and export volume of $2.2 billion, an increase of 45%.
