On August 14, more than 20 volunteers from the Huilongshan Yao Nationality Town in Zixing City carried out a civilized tourism propaganda campaign in the Huilongshan Scenic Area and along the Huifeng Highway. They either reminded tourists of driving safety, or helped clean up the environment at scenic spots, or discouraged tourists from setting up tents to camp, and urged tourists to civilized travel.
In April of this year, Zixing Dongjiang Lake Scenic Spot won the title of "Civilized Scenic Spot" in Hunan Province. Summer vacation is the peak season of tourism and the scenic spots in Zixing City have shown a peak of passenger flow since the beginning of summer. In July this year, the city launched a civilized tourism volunteer service campaign and more than 1,000 tourist volunteers launched a series of volunteer service activities in various scenic spots to promote civilized tourism, guide tourists to form the habit of civilized words and deeds, and jointly create cleanliness, civilized and orderly scenic area environment. Li Zhihong, who volunteered at Dongjiang Lake Wharf, told reporters that she volunteered at Dongjiang Lake Scenic Spot every week and many tour volunteers, like her, volunteered to carry out civilized persuasion, service guidance and so on.
In addition, the city's cultural office and tourism department proposed that tourism practitioners should set an example and guide tourists to travel in a civilized way; launched an award-winning campaign for pictures and videos of maintaining order, protecting the environment, helping each other and other civilized services, civilized travel and civilized tourism in the tourist area. It was understood that in the first half of this year, the number of domestic and foreign tourists and the total tourism revenue increased by 24.6% and 24.2% respectively from the same period last year. There have been no major complaints about the quality of services in the city's scenic spots since this year to achieve the five unified goals of "safety, order, quality, efficiency and civilization".
