Before that, Changsha City has been recognized as the first batch of assembly construction demonstration cities by the Ministry of Housing and Construction. Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Department of Hunan Province also identified 8 enterprises as provincial assembly construction industry bases. At this point, the total number of provincial assembly construction industrial bases has increased to 24.

By the end of 2017, the province had implemented a total of 24.72 million square meters of assembly building area, with a total output value of 45 billion yuan, and the proportion of newly built assembly buildings to the newly built building area reached 11.6%. According to the provincial government, the average proportion of completed assembly buildings in newly built buildings will reach 15% this year. The provincial government requested to build a number of assembly building demonstration cities, demonstration bases, demonstration projects and brand enterprises with national influence, and speed up the province's assembly construction industry into a hundreds of billions of industrial clusters.
