On Aug. 18, Yi Pengfei, Municipal Party Secretary and Chairman of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, investigated the construction of projects and feedback from environmental inspectors on the rectification in Guiyang County. Yi Pengfei pointed out that in order to speed up the project progress and create a model for undertaking industrial transfer, enterprises should strictly observe the "lifeline" of safe production and environmental protection to ensure sustainable development.

Yi Pengfei and his entourage first came to Hunan Guangdong Home Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park to investigate the project construction on the spot. At present, a total of 107 enterprises signed into the park and 15 projects officially started construction, of which 8 completed land delisting into the plant construction phase.

Yi Pengfei pointed out that Hunan Guangdong Home Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park has undertaken our city's home intellectual industry system and the transfer of the entire industrial chain, and we should speed up progress, remove resistance, solve problems, and build the project into a model for undertaking industrial transfer in southern Hunan; should further strengthen the "head" system, implement the relevant responsibilities and promote the construction of the project. All functional departments should work closely together to create model enterprises as soon as possible, seize development opportunities and attract more enterprises to invest and start business.

Subsequently, Yi Pengfei came to Yinxing Nonferrous Smelting Co., Ltd. and Guiyang County Social Welfare Plant to learn more about the rectification and reform of the feedback problems of enterprise environmental protection inspectors.

Yi Pengfei stressed that the country's environmental protection requirements for resource-based industries are getting higher at present. The enterprises should improve the utilization of resources and reduce the discharge of waste residue through technological innovation; strictly manage and control hazardous wastes in an active and orderly manner to prevent excessive storage, leakage, etc of hazardous wastes. Safety production and environmental protection are the "lifeline" of enterprises and we should strictly observe the "lifeline" of enterprises, eliminate the impact on the environment, and find a new way in the transformation and upgrading of enterprises. Environmental protection departments at the municipal and county levels should change their work style and take the initiative to find and deal with environmental protection problems in enterprises as early as possible, while helping the enterprises and actively serving enterprises.
