On September 3, Zhu Yanghui, Deputy Party Secretary and County Magistrate , presided over the preparatory meeting for the 2008 Linwu Cultural Tourism Festival with the them of "Dreaming back to Qin and Han Dynasties and crossing the millennium" and the first Gems Cultural Festival in Hunan Province. He listened to the progress of recent work and made arrangements to ensure the success of the festival.

The meeting heard a report on the progress of the preparatory work of each group of the organizing committee, discussed the related matters of the activities, and solved the problems urgently needed to be solved in the next step.Various departments and townships have made opinions and suggestions based on their own work.

Zhu Yanghui pointed out that the festival time is tight and the task is heavy. County-level departments, relevant towns and villages should attach great importance to and have a clear understanding of the significance of the autumn tourism festival held in our county; should speed up all work to ensure the success of the festival; should closely follow the theme of the activities, combine the development ideas of speeding up the construction of the "five Linwu" and fully publicize, promote and display the "history, jade culture, dragon culture, tourism" and other advantages of resources in Linwu County.

All Township and county departments should list the problems in different categories, further refine the implementation plan, clarify the objectives and responsibilities, focus on rectification of the problems, and timely check the omissions and fill in the gaps.

Zhu urged all relevant towns, departments and units to raise their ideological awareness, plan and implement scientifically, clarify their thinking, ensure adequate funds to lay a good foundation for the smooth development of the festival, and do a good job in the reception of visitors, activity organization, traffic control, safety assurance and other specific work during the festival. In the next step, the relevant villages and towns should further strengthen the implementation of clear leading departments and responsible departments, put all the work requirements into practice, and strive to make the cultural tourism festival in Linwu County unique, bright spots, quality and practical results.
