On September 4, Yi Pengfei, Municipal Party Secretary and Director of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, presided over a forum on non-ferrous backbone enterprises in the city, and talked with business leaders about the industry development. Yi Pengfei pointed out that we should make all efforts to help the non-ferrous metals industry solve the difficulties, accelerate the development of non-ferrous metals industry chain, and promote the development of enterprises to be more solid, better, stronger and bigger.

Our city has become the largest production base of silver and bismuth in China, and the largest production base of lead zinc tin in the province. By the end of 2017, there were 175 non-ferrous metal enterprises with a total output value of 87.5 billion yuan, accounting for 29.3% of the city's large-scale industrial economy. 25 enterprises in our city had entered the ranks of the 50 largest non-ferrous metal enterprises in the province.

Yi Pengfei spoke frankly with entrepreneurs, and answered and handed over questions to be solved by enterprises. Yi Pengfei pointed out that the non-ferrous metal industry is the pillar industry of our city, and the development is facing temporary difficulties at present. Municipal Party Committee and municipal government should attach great importance to it, and make every effort to help enterprises solve problems to promote the steady development of enterprises. Enterprises should enhance confidence, fully understand and develop their own advantages and potential, and strive to overcome the current difficulties.

Yi Pengfei stressed that the development of non-ferrous metals industry and enterprises should be regulated. Enterprises should follow the law of industrial development and the market, carry out the risk analysis of the market, and understand the fluctuations of the market; should attach importance to financial analysis and capital structure, and improve the efficiency of capital utilization as far as possible; should abide by the rules and regulations in their development, operate in good faith according to law, and never touch or break through the bottom line of policies and laws, so as to ensure the realization of healthy, benign and sustainable development.

Yi Pengfei stressed that the development of non-ferrous metals industry and enterprises should be focused. Enterprises should focus on the main business, and not spend limited funds on projects which can not generate benefits and have nothing to do with their main businesses; should remain rational, act according to their capabilities, and not blindly impletment and expand projects.

Yi Pengfei stressed that the development of non-ferrous metals industry and enterprises should be innovating. Enterprises should firmly establish the consciousness of innovation development and innovation-driven, pay attention to the actual effect of innovation, vigorously promote the transformation of innovation achievements, and enhance the efficiency of enterprise innovation; should increase the introduction of innovative talents, and actively develop independent innovation around the enterprise development to build innovative enterprises.
