On September 13, the reporter learned from the Zixing Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau that 13 species of fish in Dongjiang Lake of Zixing City have passed the 17 certification of pollution-free products.

Zixing city has more than 300,000 mu of water, accounting for nearly 10% of the total land area, and suitable fishing area of 261 thousand mu. In addition to abundant water resources, Zixing City also has cold water and hot water resources, good water quality and no pollution, which is an ideal place for the development of pollution-free ecological aquatic products.

In recent years, Zixing City, based on its resource advantages, has developed and constructed fisheries as a leading industry to revitalize the economy. The fishery output has increased year by year, and the process of fish industrialization in Dongjiang Lake has been accelerated obviously.

In 2017, Zixing City developed aquaculture area of 178,500 mu, total output of aquatic products of 30,100 tons, and realized fishery output value of 320 million yuan. More than 20 famous and excellent varieties, such as whitebait, rainbow trout, American sapidissima, channel catfish, triangular bream, sturgeon and so on, have developed into the fist products of green and pollution-free ecological Dongjiang fish.

At present, Dongjiang Lake fish in Zixing City has obtained 17 certification of pollution-free aquatic products and 8 certification of organic aquatic products.
