On the morning of September 18th, the city's chemical industry and other new materials industry chain scheduling meeting was held. Ouyang Feng, Municipal Standing Committee and Municipal Secretary General presided over the meeting and delivered speeches.

In recent years, the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government have vigorously promoted the development of the chemical industry and other new materials, and various factors have been inclined to the industrial chain. There are 102 chemical enterprises in the city at present. In 2017, the main business income of the city's chemical industry was 17.89 billion yuan, with the industrial added value increasing by 24.2% year on year.

The meeting addressed that the development of industrial chain should carry out scientific layout, research on industrial deployment and meet the requirements of environmental protection; should further improve innovation drive and enhance the innovation ability of enterprises; should increase the intensity of attracting investment, and "strengthen the chain, supplement the chain, extend the chain" through attracting investment to the industrial chain; should increase the support to enterprises, and coordinate and solve the outstanding problems and difficulties faced by enterprises in the development of industrial chain in time and on the spot.

The meeting required that our city should improve its position and understanding, adhere to the strategy of "industry leading and all-round development" and attach great importance to the development of the chemical industry and new material industry chain; should focus on the key points, plan well, and rely on superior resources to form advantageous industries; should rely on professional parks to form industrial agglomeration and rely on industrial foundation to form industrial chain; should improve the platform, strengthen services, build a platform around the industrial chain, create an excellent ecosystem, and optimize services; should increase the amount of investment and attract investment accurately for the industrial chain on the basis of making the existing enterprises bigger and stronger.
