From September 18 to 20, Zhang Dafang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial CPPCC and Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Jiusan Society, led some CPPCC members and experts to investigate the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage in Jiahe County, Linwu County and Yizhang County.

In recent years, Chenzhou City has thoroughly implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important expositions on the inheritance and promotion of Chinese excellent traditional culture in Chenzhou City, implemented the "Law of the People's Republic of China on Intangible Cultural Heritage", adhered to the working principle of "protection first, rescue first, rational utilization, inheritance and development", and comprehensively promoted the protection of intangible cultural heritage to achieve certain results with the goal of consolidating the achievements of protection and improving the level of inheritance. At present, the city has announced 5 batches of municipal intangible cultural heritage item list, a total of 122 items, and each county (city, district) has published 272 items of county-level intangible cultural heritage itemlist. There are 4 national-level inheritors, 15 provincial-level inheritors, 96 municipal-level inheritors and 420 county-level inheritors in the whole city. In order to encourage the inheritors and social organizations to carry out the activities of inheritance, 22 heritage bases and 41 institutes have been established.

Zhang Dafang pointed out that the Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government should actively respond to General Secretary Xi Jinping's call for "cultural self-confidence" and strengthen the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage from a strategic perspective in terms of capital, market and poverty alleviation, so as to promote the integration and development of intangible cultural heritage and modern society; should do a good job in the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage innovation and development under the condition of market economy, adjust measures to local conditions, classify management, highlight key points, seek truth from facts and cover comprehensively to let the old craftsmanship be full of vitality and more people understand and appreciate the traditional culture.
