October 15th is the 35th International Festival of the Blind. On the same day, the Zixing International Blind Festival Gala was held in the Zixing University for the Elderly. Twenty-two representatives of the blind from all over the city gathered to enjoy the feast.

At the festival, the elderly university performers presented more than 10 wonderful performances for the blind, such as the antiphon "Thanksgiving", Guzheng solo "The Heroic Little Sisters on the Grassland", Yue Opera "Tea Picking Dance" and Peking Opera "Ode to the Pear Tree", to let the blind listen to beautiful voices and feel the festive atmosphere.

The event with the theme of "Caring for the blind, sharing the sunshine", aimed to actively create a profound atmosphere of understanding, respect and care for the blind in the whole society, advocate the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance, hand in hand, dedication to society and self-improvement, so that more people can care for the blind and listen to the world of the blind.

It was understood that the 22 representatives of the blind on the scene were self-reliant, actively faced difficulties, overcome the shortcomings to create a world of their own.

On the scene, the lover people sent their festival greetings to the blind friends and gave 600 yuan of money and clothing. After the festival, the five sense organ doctors of the First People's Hospital of Zixing City trained the blind friends on the prevention and treatment of weak vision.
