More 200 Volunteers Receive Free Physical Examination

2018-12-12

December 5 is International Volunteer Day. More than 200 volunteers from all volunteer groups in the city went to Chenzhou Shengkang Hospital for free medical examination.

On the same day, under the organization of Deng Dewu, Vice President of the Municipal Charity Association, Shengkang Hospital signed a contract with the Municipal Volunteer Service Team to provide 200 places of free medical examinations for volunteers and team representatives. In addition, Shengkang Hospital also established personalized health records for follow-up and health guidance to reflect the care of the society for those who serve others and contribute to society. Through precise physical examination, Shengkang Hospital has found out some early diseases and some hidden health risks for medical examinees, which has won time for early diagnosis and treatment.

In order to provide services to more volunteers, Shengkang Hospital and Municipal Volunteer Service Team has increased the number of free medical examinations from 200 to 300.

In recent years, Chenzhou Health Family and Planning System has actively promoted volunteer service and established the volunteer management organizations to provide various kinds of medical assistance services for patients through different service modes. After years of development, the source of volunteer team has expanded from the original medical workers to social professionals, rehabilitation patients and community residents. The service content has also developed from traditional medical guidance, free clinic to patient psychological intervention, ward visits, cultural care, patient groups and accompanying services.
