Recently, the State Forestry and Grassland Administration released a list of the 2nd batch of national forest trails, including Tianmu Mountain, Nanling Mountain, Miaoling Mountain and Hengduan Mountain. Among them, Nanling National Forest Trail passes through Guangdong, Jiangxi, Hunan and Guangxi provinces, including Yizhang County.

National Forest Trail refers to the walkway system that passes through the natural area with good integrity and authenticity of ecosystem, connecting a series of important natural and cultural points in series, providing people with abundant natural experience opportunities and being managed by the relevant departments of the state, which is an excellent geographical landmark, ecological landmark and cultural landmark.

It was understood that the Nanling National Forest Trail is 3016 kilometers long, with east-west trend. The forest accounts for 65% of the whole trail. It passes through the middle subtropical forest and the main sections are composed of slate roads, earth roads and so on.

The national forest trail in Yizhang County is about 120 kilometers long and connects with the special scenic spots such as the Chishi National Rocky Desertification Park, Shizikou Provincial Nature Reserve, Qitianling Scenic Spot, Guanghan Railway and Mangshan National Forest Park.

Implementing the national forest trail construction will better meet the growing needs of the public for high-quality, diversified outdoor recreation and forest health, enhance the brand image of Yizhang global tourism, and promote regional socio-economic development.
