New year, new achievements. 2019 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. On the morning of January 4, the construction of Chenzhou Beihu Airport was officially started, which set off a new upsurge of promoting the construction of major projects in Chenzhou.

The construction of Beihu Airport mainly includes the construction of airport runway, terminal building, airport avenue, airport apron and auxiliary facilities such as communication, navigation, oil supply and fire rescue. The total investment of the airport preliminary design and budget approval project is 2.130 billion yuan, of which the State Development and Reform Commission has allocated 350 million yuan in the central budget and 690 million yuan in the Civil Aviation Development Fund. Hunan Province has allocated provincial capital investment funds and financial budget funds, and Chenzhou City has raised a part of funds.

More than 40 preliminary procedures such as site approval, pre-feasibility study report approval, land pre-approval approval, civil aviation industry opinion, water and soil conservation plan approval, feasibility study report approval and environmental impact assessment report approval of Beihu Airport have been completed since the final examination of Chenzhou Airport site in 2014. In the first half of 2018, the preliminary design review meeting of the Military and Civil Aviation Coordination Committee and the airport project successively were completed; on November 16, the tendering of the airport road project was completed; on November 25, the headquarters held a meeting before the start of construction; on December 15, the construction units completed the construction of the project department; all the technical personnel and mechanical equipment were in place and entered; 128 large airport equipment were in place and the original ground re-testing was completed, which laid a solid foundation for the construction of the airport.

In order to do a good job in the construction of Beihu Airport in Chenzhou, the Chenzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government set up an Airport Construction Coordination and Promotion Group in 2018, which defined the headquarters responsibility system under the Airport Project Construction Coordination and Promotion Group. The headquarters implemented the headquarters responsibility system, transferred staff to centralized office and established five internal organizations to improve the relevant authority of approval and management, and realize the high effective operation of the project.
