Recently, Liu Zhiren, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor came to Yizhang County and went deep into the village-level poverty alleviation industry bases to investigate the work of overcoming poverty.

Liu Zhiren first came to the grape base of Yanjiang Village in Wuling Town. Since the implementation of the targeted poverty alleviation project, the base has led 16 poor households to develop grape cultivation independently, provided employment for more than 100 poor people and increased the per capita income of poor households by about 3,000 yuan per year.

Liu Zhiren inspected the situation of base construction, base management and grape seedling growth in the grape base, and inquired about the difficulties encountered in the construction and development of the grape base in detail. Liu fully affirmed the good management and maintenance of the base and the enthusiasm and confidence of farmers. He pointed out that we should promote the construction of bases according to local conditions; should focus on innovating management mechanisms, promoting the mode of cooperatives leading poor households to become rich; should strengthen scientific and technological services, ensure the healthy growth of grapes, and solve the problem of grape marketing.

The Yangliushui Comprehensive Breeding Company, located in Baishidu Town, absorbed 2.77 million yuan of poverty alleviation funds from 56 poor households in 2018, with a 10% dividend per year. At the same time, 15 workers from the poor were recruited, with a monthly wage of 3,000 yuan per capita.

Liu Zhiren pointed out during the investigation that targeted poverty alleviation is a political task that must be accomplished, and we should recognize the situation and strengthen the responsibility; should develop poverty alleviation industries according to local conditions, encourage employment and entrepreneurship, and enhance the endogenous motive force of poverty alleviation; should effectively change the spiritual outlook of the poor, improve the living environment and cultivate civilized local customs; should further strengthen the building of poverty alleviation teams, strengthen targeted assistance, and fully mobilize the social forces of the industry to participate in the fight against poverty to ensure the success of the battle against poverty on schedule.

Liu pointed out that all relevant units and support departments should always care the people in need, do everything possible to solve their life problems, do a good job in social security according to the policy, and send the concern and warmth of the Party and the government to the families of every poor people.
