Tourism Revenue Exceeds 2 Billion Yuan during Spring Festival

During the Spring Festival this year, the weather was sunny most of the time in the city. The tourist receptionists and income have achieved double growth and the tourism revenue has exceeded 2 billion yuan for the first time.

According to statistics, the city received 2.6208 million tourists of all kinds, ranking fifth in the province, an increase of 30.17%, ranking first in the province; realized the comprehensive tourism income of 2.235 billion yuan, ranking second in the province, an increase of 36.07%, ranking first in the province; the rental rate of star hotels in the city reached 90.6%, ranking first in the province.

During the Spring Festival, the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area received 49,000 tourists with a total tourism income of 98.07 million yuan, increasing by 143.92% and 39.03% respectively; Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area received 36,000 tourists with a total tourism income of 5.4 million yuan; Reshui Hot Spring Tourism Resort received 61,200 tourists with a total tourism income of 18.36 million yuan; Suxianling-Wanhuayan Scenic Spot received 109,500 tourists with a total tourism income of 6.57 million yuan; Feitian Mountain Scenic Spot received 80,300 tourists with a total tourism income of 1.978 million yuan; Rucheng Shazhou Scenic Spot received 30,300 tourists with a total tourism income of 3.525 million yuan; Linwu Dishuiyuan Scenic Spot received 100,000 tourists with a total tourism income of 16 million yuan.

The regional distribution of the city's tourism market was more reasonable, and tourists traveled more rationally. Outbound and provincial tours were popular, and suburbs and self-driving tours were preferred by tourists. The city's cultural tourism market security and service order were good, and the civilized quality of tourists in various scenic spots was further improved. As of 17:00 on February 10, no major cultural tourism safety accident reports and major cultural tourism complaints had been received in the city.

During the Spring Festival, the cultural and tourism departments throughout the city actively carried out activities to deliver cultural annual goods to the countryside, carried out literary and artistic performances at the grass-roots level and scenic spots, and organized various cultural and tourism publicity activities to enrich the connotation of tourism, expand cultural transmission through tourism, enhance the sense of acquisition and happiness of the people, and make every effort to create a festive atmosphere of joy and peace.

The tourist residential houses have sprung up. From the 2nd to the 6th day of the first year of the lunar new year, the high-quality residential houses in Zixing City were popular. According to statistics, during the Spring Festival, a total of 28,000 tourists were received by 96 residential houses in Zixing City, 36 of which received 11,000 tourists, and more than 80% from Guangdong Province. The characteristic residential houses around Dongjiang Lake Scenic Spot were sought after by young tourists.

Driven by the freeway free access, scenic road accessibility, "Internet +" and other positive factors, the holiday driving tour with the characteristics of family parent-child relationship with friends and relatives has become the mainstream of tourism consumption during the Spring Festival this year. During the Spring Festival, the self-driving tourists from the Pearl River Delta, Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan and other surrounding provinces and cities such as Jiangxi and Guangxi flocked to Chenzhou City. The proportion of self-driving tourists from Dongjiang Lake, Mangshan Mountain, Yangtian Lake, Fuquan Villa and other scenic spots increased further.
