Yizhang County Promotes Traditional Chinese Medicine to Benefit People's Livelihood

Recently, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued a notice that Yizhang County successfully passed the review of the national advanced units of grass-roots Chinese medicine work in 2018, and the county has been awarded this honor for eight consecutive years.

In recent years, Yizhang County has attached great importance to the development of traditional Chinese medicine, and constantly improved the service ability of grass-roots traditional Chinese medicine to ensure the health of the people through the promotion of appropriate technology of traditional Chinese medicine, the introduction of talents of traditional Chinese medicine, the construction of traditional Chinese medicine clinics in primary medical institutions, and the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry. The county has established a network of traditional Chinese medicine service system, highlighted the characteristics of comprehensive services of traditional Chinese medicine, and promoted the construction of traditional Chinese medicine in township hospitals; equipped township health centers with traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic and therapeutic equipment such as acupuncture, cupping and scraping boards, and carried out appropriate techniques of Chinese medicine such as decoction, acupuncture, cupping, scraping, massage and physiotherapy; 58 village clinics have declared the capacity-building units for TCM appropriate technical services, and 15 standardized TCM clinics and 4 comprehensive TCM service areas have been built. At the same time, the county has implemented the talent strategy, focused on strengthening the construction of Chinese medicine talent team, and paid attention to post-transfer training, counterpart support, teacher-acceptance system and other ways to promote the healthy development of Chinese medicine. 64 professionals of traditional Chinese medicine have been introduced into the county, with 21.6% of TCM doctors.
