In order to widely listen to public opinion and promote the democracy, scientificity and openness of enrollment decision-making, the Municipal Education Bureau held a hearing on "Chenzhou Compulsory Education Stage School Freshmen Enrollment Work Programme (draft for comments)" on February 20.

At the hearing, Chen Qingtong, Chief of Basic Education Section, Municipal Bureau of Education, gave a detailed explanation of the basic principles, enrollment targets, enrollment conditions, enrollment methods, enrollment time, enrollment management and enrollment discipline of "Chenzhou Compulsory Education Stage School Enrollment Work Programme (draft for comments)".11 hearing representatives raised questions, made suggestions, or consulted on residence permit processing, regional filing, school age, etc. The relevant persons in charge of the municipal education system, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Municipal Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, the Municipal Real Estate Registration Center, the Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission and other functional departments responded to the questions and consultation of the hearing representatives.

After the hearing, the staff of the Municipal Bureau of Education will synthesize extensive pre-investigation and opinions of the hearing representatives, modify and refine the programe, and report the final programme to the municipal government for approval and publicity.
