Last year, the city's total social logistics volume continued to grow, reaching 782.1 billion yuan, an increase of 5.6% over the previous year. Among them, the total logistics volume of industrial products was 457.53 billion yuan, accounting for 58.5%; the total logistics volumes of agricultural products, external inflow goods, renewable resources, units and residents were 46.93 billion yuan, 221.33 billion yuan, 1.56 billion yuan and 54.75 billion yuan respectively. In 2018, the city's logistics-related industries achieved a total revenue of 30.68 billion yuan, an increase of 12%, and the quality and efficiency of logistics also improved. From the perspective of income composition, the income of transportation sector was 22.37 billion yuan, accounting for 72.9%; the income of custody sector was 3.48 billion yuan, accounting for 11.3%; the income of logistics-related trade industry was 3.87 billion yuan, accounting for 12.6%; and the income of postal industry was 960 million yuan, accounting for 31%.

By the end of 2018, 25 A-level logistics enterprises, 3 excellent pledge supervision enterprises and 3 star cold chain service enterprises in the city have been licensed, including two 5A-level logistics enterprises, seven 4A-level logistics enterprises, two 4-star cold chain service enterprises and one 3-star cold chain service enterprises.

In addition, according to the data, the total cost rate of social logistics in Chenzhou City declined last year. The total cost of social logistics was 42.49 billion yuan, and the ratio of total cost of social logistics to GDP was 17.8%, 0.9% lower than the previous year, which showed that the economic operation efficiency of the logistics industry in the whole city has been improved.
