Chenyang Highway was awarded the National Standardized Landscape Avenue for Self-driving Tourism, and the 7th National Summit on Self-driving Tourism Development was successfully held. In 2018, the District Tourism Bureau vigorously launched tourism marketing, and the tourism industry in the whole district continued to grow rapidly. The planning system has been further improved. The project construction has been steadily promoted. The project of "three towns and one center" such as Country Garden Longnv Healthy Tourism Characteristic Town, Culture Tourism Town in Xianling Lake Area, Xiaobu Sports (sport and leisure) Characteristic Town and Chenzhou tourism distribution center is progressing in an orderly way. Relying on the hot spring tourism and sports leisure resources in the suburbs of the city, Beihu District has always insisted to the joint development of healthy and leisure tourism to ensure the development of suburban areas through the "small towns, big strategies".
The infrastructure has been further consolidated. In 2018, 13 tourist toilets were constructed, Chenyang Highway Self-Driving Tourist Service Center, Self-Driving Tourist Distribution Center and Self-Driving Tourist Rescue Center were built, traffic warning signs were standardized, self-driving tourist signs and propaganda signs were improved, and road greening and beautification were carried out, which further enhanced the attraction of self-driving tourism.
The festival activities were splendid. In order to build the tourism brands, the first South China Camping Convention was successfully held during the 7th National Summit on Self-Driving Tourism Development. Close to the reality of Beihu rural areas, the Grape Festival, Yangtianhu Fish and Rice Harvest Festival, Wanhua Rock Watermelon Festival and other rural tourism festivals were held successively, which combined rural tourism with self-driving tourism and tourism poverty alleviation, promoted the sale of local agricultural and sideline products, and promoted the local villagers to become rich and increase their incomes.
