Recently, the Provincial Leading Group on Promoting New Urbanization led by Yi Xiaolin, Deputy Inspector of Provincial Housing and Construction Department, investigated and evaluated the new urbanization pilot work in 2018.

The working group visited municipal solid waste incineration plant, Xiangshanping LNG vaporizing station and other places successively, and carried out field investigation and evaluation in Zixing City, Guidong County, Liufeng Town of Guiyang County, Meitian Town of Yizhang County, and Reshui Town of Rucheng County, and also heard a report on the progress of the pilot work of new urbanization in our city.

In recent years, the spatial layout of cities and towns in our city has been optimized, the level and quality of urbanization, the new system and mechanism of urbanization development, and the ability of public service security have been continuously improved. In 2018, the city's permanent population was 4.7445 million, and the urbanization rate of the permanent population was 55.6%. In accordance with the spatial structure of "one core, two axes, four belts and one circle", our city took the urban agglomeration as the main form, highlighted the core leading role of the central urban area, the leading role of the Great Cross Town Group and the key supporting role of the central town of the county, and developed into a new type of urbanization with stratification, group, ecotype and characteristics.

Yi Xiaolin affirmed the achievements made in the pilot work of new urbanization in our city. He hoped that Chenzhou would further promote infrastructure construction, public service management, garbage disposal and classification, strengthen system and mechanism innovation, and promote the pilot work of new urbanization to a new level.
