From March 13 to 14, Liu Zonglin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress and Chairman of the Agriculture and Rural Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, led an investigation group to investigate the management of Mangshan Nature Reserve in Yizhang County. Zhang Aiguo, Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, participated in the investigation.

On the morning of the 14th, Liu Zonglin went into the scenic area of Mangshan Forest Park and had a detailed understanding of the construction and management of Mangshan Nature Reserve by listening to the introduction and watching the scene, and held a symposium on related work. At present, there are two national nature reserves in our city, which are Mangshan National Nature Reserve and Bamianshan National Nature Reserve; there are two provincial nature reserves, three forest ecosystem types and one wild plant type; there are two nature reserves at county level and 19 nature reserves. Participants also put forward many opinions and suggestions on improving the quality of scenic spots, exploiting tourism resources, protecting wildlife, improving ecological compensation mechanism and innovating scientific research.

Liu Zonglin fully affirmed the construction and management of nature reserves in our city in recent years. He believed that our city's work organization and leadership were strong, the management system was effective, and the work measures were effective. In view of the next step, he asked comrades from relevant departments of cities, counties and townships to further improve their political positions, firmly establish the concept of ecological priority and green development, and make every effort to do a good job in the construction and management of nature reserves. The Standing Committee of the Chenzhou Municipal People's Congress should, in light of its actual work, highlight key points and carry out large-scale research activities; give full play to the legislative and supervisory functions of the NPC, and increase its support and supervision for the construction and management of natural reserves; give full play to the exemplary leading role of NPC deputies, earnestly publicize the basic national policies and relevant laws and regulations on environmental protection, strengthen the people's awareness of ecological protection, and strive to form a new pattern of harmonious development between man and nature. At the same time, in response to the opinions and suggestions put forward by the participants, the investigation team will carefully sort out and summarize them and actively reflect them to the relevant departments.
