Recently, the launching ceremony of "Protecting Ancient Academies and Spreading New Ideas" was held in Guiyang County. Guiyang Academy has a profound cultural background, with 32 academies in Ming and Qing dynasties. More than 50 imperial scholars and 100 first-degree scholars were trained successively, including Chen Shijie, Governor of Shandong Province, and Xia Shoutian, a famous runner-up in Qing Dynasty. At present, there are only 7 ancient academies with complete structure, of which 3 are seriously damaged, so it is urgent to protect them. Guiyang County will take "protecting ancient academies" as an opportunity to further carry forward the excellent tradition of advocating literature and learning, and make ancient academies an important position for disseminating ideas, culture and civilization. By running schools, stressing ideology, revitalizing culture and advocating civilization, we not only carry forward the tradition of advocating learning and emphasizing education, but also optimize educational and cultural resources, which is conducive to the new glory of Guiyang Ancient Academy in the new era.
