Bamboo Slips Exhibition in Western Jin Dynasty
Chenzhou Museum officially opened in August 2009 for free to the public. In May 2013, it was certified by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage as a national third-level museum. In recent years, Chenzhou Museum has continuously improved public cultural facilities, strengthened collection management and scientific research, enhanced comprehensive strength and influence, and actively played the role of cultural dissemination services. On September 18, 2018, Chenzhou Museum ranked on the list of 97 national second-class museums published by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, thus filling in the blank of no national second-class museums in Chenzhou City.
Bamboo Slips in Western Jin Dynasty
It was understood that the Chenzhou Museum is divided into three exhibition halls: Historical Exhibition, Bamboo Slips Exhibition in Western Jin Dynasty and Anti-Ice Disaster Relief Exhibition, covering an area of about 4800 square meters. There are more than 6000 cultural relics in the museum collection and 98 bamboo slips of the Western Jin Dynasty, of which 1341 are precious cultural relics. According to statistics, Chenzhou Museum receives an average of 200,000 visitors per year.

According to Hu Renliang, Deputy Curator of Chenzhou Museum, the museum is responsible for protecting historical and cultural heritage, promoting the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, giving full play to the functions of acquiring, collecting, researching, displaying, educating and serving cultural relics, becoming a cultural card displaying the image of Chenzhou City, and an important window for Chenzhou people to understand the process of local civilization and excellent history and culture.
