Municipal Deputy Party Secretary, Mayor and Chenzhou River Chief Liu Zhiren led a team to inspect the Chenjiang River in Suxian District and investigated the waterfront cultural and tourism industry belt along the river. Liu Zhiren emphasized that "ecological priority and green development" should be taken as the main line of economy, the river should be well protected and the industry should be well developed.

Liu Zhiren and his delegation went to Yangjia Bridge of Changchongpu Village, Reshui Village of Xujiadong Town, Qingquan Village, Feitianshan Village of Feitianshan Town in Suxian District, and carefully inspected the cleanliness of Chenjiang River course and the construction of sewage pipe network. They also investigated the cultural and tourism industries of Changchongpu Village, Xujiadong Town and Feitianshan Town along the Chenjiang River. In the Jiangkou Group of Feitianshan Village, Feitianshan Town, Liu Zhiren carefully inspected the demolition of illegal wharves and the cleaning of rivers.

Through inspecting the scene and listening to the reports, Liu Zhiren had a detailed understanding of the construction of Xujiadong Hot Spring Town. Liu pointed out that we should further improve planning standards, respect natural ecology, respect natural laws, highlight ecological protection, and realize the co-construction and integration of tourism and beautiful countryside in scenic spots; further improve the quality of infrastructure and scenic spots construction, and try our best to gather popularity; and increase the traffic organization in scenic spots, so as to achieve a smooth and orderly flow of people and vehicles.

During the river inspection period, Liu Zhiren requested that we should grasp the key links and outstanding problems in river control work, focus on the implementation of the river chief system, strengthen responsibility transmission, and always maintain the high pressure situation of river control throughout the whole region; further strengthen the daily supervision of illegal sewage discharge, illegal water-related construction, illegal planting and other illegal activities around the river, and timely report the monitoring situation; increase the publicity of the river chief system work, enhance everyone's awareness of caring for, cherishing and protecting the environment of rivers, and strive to create a strong atmosphere in which the whole people participate in supervision, river management and river control.

Liu Zhiren requested that we should always adhere to the concept of "ecological priority, green development" and take ecology as the lifeline of the project; should base ourselves on our own advantages, coordinate and integrate resources, highlight the integration and development of culture and tourism, link abundant culture and tourism resources into a chain, and strive to form a cluster effect; should promote rural revitalization with cultural tourism industry, rely on the construction of scenic spots, improve the surrounding infrastructure and living conditions of residents, and drive the surrounding masses to develop the catering, homestay and other tourism economy; should develop the historical and cultural connotation, make full use of the unique ecological natural resources, and create a number of tourist attractions with high standards.
