On the afternoon of April 15, Hunan Province held a signing ceremony for major projects at the Hunan-Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area Negotiation Week. Chenzhou City signed 2 major projects on site, with a total investment of 13.2 billion yuan. Liu Zhiren, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor, attended the signing ceremony.
The 2 signed major projects were the Zhengwei Hunan New Material Science and Technology City project and Comprehensive Utilization and Manufacturing Projects of Rare Metals.
Zhengwei Hunan New Material Science and Technology City project has been invested 10 billion yuan, including copper-based new material project, silver intensive processing project, rare metal logistics storage project, Zhengwei non-ferrous metal industry headquarters and industrial supporting projects. The project is divided into two phases, one-time planning and batch construction. After all the projects reach production, the annual business income is expected to be no less than 30 billion yuan.
The Comprehensive Utilization and Manufacturing Projects of Rare Metals is planned to use 400 mu of land, with a construction area of 160,000 square meters and an investment of about 3.2 billion yuan. The main construction contents include the production systems of lead bath smelting and refining, copper bath smelting and refining, comprehensive recovery of positive sludge, acid production from tail gas, and supporting facilities of water supply and drainage, oxygen station, waste heat power generation and three wastes treatment. After the completion of the project, it is estimated that the annual sales revenue will be 5 billion yuan, the tax of 450 million yuan and the profit of 460 million yuan, and more than 1000 employees can be arranged.
