Recently, Hunan Provincial Agricultural and Rural Department issued the Notice of Hunan Provincial Leading Enterprises on Agricultural Industrialization (hereinafter referred to as "Notice"), which identified the Dongjiang Fish Group and other 14 enterprises as provincial leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization in 2018. On April 25, Hunan Provincial Agricultural and Rural Department unified licensing for the newly recognized leading enterprises on the training course for the provincial leaders of agricultural industrialization in Hunan Province.

In order to further accelerate the agricultural supply-side structural reform, promote the development of agricultural modernization, and speed up the cultivation of a number of provincial leading enterprises of agricultural industrialization with foundation, advantages, characteristics, prospects and strong driving capacity, Provincial Agricultural and Rural Department organized the declaration and identification of provincial leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization in 2018 according to "Hunan Province Agricultural Industrialization Leading Enterprises Declaration of State and Provincial Key Leading Enterprise Management Measures" (Hunan Agricultural Development [2015] No. 86). Through enterprise declaration, recommendation of county (city, district), municipal and state people's governments, expert evaluation, examination and verification by 8 provincial relevant units, and media publicity, approval by the provincial people's government, Hunan Provincial Agricultural and Rural Department was authorized to issue a paper newly confirming 173 enterprises to be the provincial leaders of agricultural industrialization.

The Provincial Agricultural and Rural Department mentioned in the Notice that it was hoped that the newly identified provincial leading enterprises of agricultural industrialization would persist in market-oriented management, constantly strengthen enterprise management, improve product quality, enhance scientific and technological innovation ability, and improve interest linkage mechanism, so as to become an important force to promote the agricultural supply-side structural reform in our Province and promote the integration and development of rural primary, secondary and tertiary industries. Municipalities, prefectures and relevant departments should further strengthen the guidance services for provincial leading enterprises, promote the transformation and upgrading of enterprises, and promote the sound and rapid development of agricultural industrialization in our province.
