Recently, the fourth central ecological environment protection supervision group held a meeting to give feedback to Hunan Province on the situation of "looking back" and special supervision. In order to implement the spirit of the meeting, Chenzhou City positively deployed and took prompt action. On May 6, Liu Zhiren, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor, arrived in Zixing City to investigate the rectification of the central environmental protection supervision, flood control, poverty alleviation and industrial project construction.

Liu Zhiren investigated the Xiaodongjiang Sewage Pipeline Network Construction Project. In order to improve the living environment and solve the problem of direct discharge of some domestic sewage into the Dongjiang River, the Zixing Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government have launched the interconnection project of sewage pipe networks on both sides of the Dongjiang River. Understanding the relevant situation, Liu Zhiren said that the construction of sewage pipe network is related to the sustainable development of Dongjiang Lake scenic spot and the living environment of the surrounding residents, so we should take people as the center, sum up the advanced treatment experience, and make the sewage pipe network interconnection project play a practical role.

Later, Liu Zhiren came to the Miner South Road Resettlement Community in Zixing City and was concerned about the living conditions of the relocated people. There were 17 buildings and 330 housing units in the Miner South Road Resettlement Community with the residential activity rooms and other resident service places. Professional property companies have been employed to manage them, and Zixing Zhihengtai Electronics Co., Ltd. has been introduced to set up poverty alleviation workshops to promote the transfer of labor force and employment. Liu Zhiren consoled Zhu Yuping's family, who moved from Bamianshan to Miner South Road, carefully inquired about her living conditions, and investigated her poverty alleviation workshop. Liu pointed out that we must solve the prominent problems of "Two Needs and Three Guarantees", insist on not missing one household or one person, and make every effort to solve the problems of compulsory education, basic medical treatment and housing security.

Liu Zhiren also investigated two enterprises, Qibin Photovoltaic Electric Glass Company and Changxing New Material Company, and demanded that enterprises should pay attention to environmental protection and focus on solving outstanding problems in environmental protection; ensure safety, promote project production on the basis of strengthening safety supervision and quality assurance; and constantly innovate technology, improve core competitiveness and develop with high quality.

Preparations for flood control materials in Liaojiang Village

The focus of Liu Zhiren's investigation also included strengthening flood control preparations to ensure safe flood season this year. He went to Liaojiang Village and there were two rivers, one reservoir and six ponds in the area under its jurisdiction with a great responsibility for flood control. Liu Zhiren listened to the flood control work report of Liaojiang Village and checked the reserve of flood control materials. He stressed that we should not tire of it and pay attention to every detail of flood control work; should devote efforts to embroidery, further strictly implement the responsibility system for flood control, and strengthen emergency drills and team building for rescue and disaster relief.
