On the afternoon of May 22, Liu Zhiren, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor, made a special investigation on idle land and park tours in urban areas. Liu Zhiren required that we should plan as a whole, demonstrate scientifically, strengthen supervision, speed up the disposal of idle land in urban areas, give full play to the maximum benefits of land, and promote the high-quality development of Chenzhou.

Liu Zhiren went to Yuexiangshan Park, Tangwei Village, Municipal Drug Rehabilitation Center and Jiuzitang Park to understand the current situation and forming reasons of idle land, and discuss and study the disposal methods on the spot.

Liu Zhiren said that we should speed up the idle land use in urban areas to activate land resources, improve land use efficiency, improve the comprehensive functions of the city, speed up the pace of economic construction and improve the quality of the city; coordinate the overall urban construction plan, scientifically demonstrate and rationally use every inch of land to maximize its benefits, promote the disposal of idle land according to law and regulations, and strictly implement the system of intensive and economical land use; ensure safety and quality, speed up the progress of disposal of idle land, and increase more land resources for urban project construction; strengthen supervision over disposal of idle land, and strictly implement responsibilities to ensure disposal in accordance with timetable and road map; activate the stock of idle land, strictly control increment, and strengthen supervision after supply of land. Departments at all levels should strengthen coordination and cooperation, strengthen communication, form joint efforts, formulate feasible disposal plans, develop and utilize land according to local conditions, and effectively activate idle land to provide strong land guarantee for the high-quality development of Chenzhou.
