On May 22, the launching ceremony of 2019 Chenzhou Science and Technology Week and "National Science and Technology Workers Day" was held in Anren County, jointly organized by Chenzhou Science and Technology Association and the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau.

May 30 this year is the third National Science and Technology Workers Day. From May to July, Chenzhou Science and Technology Association, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Municipal Education Bureau and League Municipal Committee will organize a series of activities in the whole city with the theme of "Praise the Republic, Make Achievement in the New Era". They will jointly celebrate the festivals of scientists and technicians and explore ways to create a festival brand serving them.

It was pointed out that all departments around the region should actively organize various thematic activities with special features around "setting up models, doing practical work and emphasizing propaganda", combining with reality, so as to give full play to the role of "catalyst" and pay attention to the effectiveness of the activities; should create a good social atmosphere and enhance the social status of scientific and technological workers; should focus on displaying the spiritual features of scientific and technological workers' hard work, selfless dedication and their great achievements in climbing the peak and overcoming difficulties for the region, the field, the system and the industry, so as to enhance their sense of achievement, honor and pride, promote social respect, understanding, care and support for scientific and technological workers and create a good social atmosphere of respecting labor, knowledge, talent and creation; should strengthen high-quality services so that scientists and technicians feel the warmth of "home"; should focus on the concerns of scientists and technicians, work hard for them, listen carefully to their suggestions and needs, serve their academic exchanges and growth, send the care and warmth of the organization to the scientists and technicians, and win their trust, respect and support with high-quality and efficient services; should do a good job of overall arrangement of activities and polish the work brand; should carefully organize and coordinate all kinds of activities of think tanks, academics and popular science; should promote the gradual establishment of volunteer teams for science and technology at all levels and trades through a series of thematic activities with diverse forms, rich contents, wide participation of scientific and technological workers and high concern from all walks of life, and explore the formation of "National Science and Technology Workers Day" activity model and science and technology volunteer service mechanism, so as to make May 30 "National Science and Technology Workers Day" a holy festival of great concern to the whole society, widely known and deeply rooted in the hearts and minds of the people.
